After you’ve created an account on the class blog, follow the steps below to log into the account. You will need to be logged in to submit new blog posts, to comment on existing blog posts, and to access restricted material.
(1) Scroll down the class blog page until you see the login area at the bottom, which looks like this:
(3) Enter your username and password in the login boxes and then click the “Log in” button.
(4) After you click the “Log in” button, the page will refresh and the login area will transform to a welcome message, with links to Account Settings and the Edit/Add Posts area, as shown below.
(5) After you’re logged in, you can edit your Account Settings, but please read this handout first: Edit your account settings.
IMPORTANT: please note that what WordPress calls your “profile” is really just your account settings page, and everything on that page is visible only to you. So don’t fill out the Bio box and instead create a member intro, as directed on the calendar.
After logging in, you can also post comments on your classmates’ posts. If you’ve been granted author status, you can also submit new posts.
To log out, click on the Logout link at the bottom of the page.
