STUDENT SAMPLE – Cookie Cutter of a Different Shape

Personal Narrative by Stephanie (WRTG 3020 – Fall 2010)

Stephanie wrote out what she wanted to say and then recorded herself reading it while displaying images she found on the web. She had wanted to use her own photos, as other students had done, but she was unable to gather them in digital format in enough time to add to them to the project.

Using “found” images can be rhetorically powerful, but “real” images are generally even more so. A nice compromise might be a mix of both, particularly if you don’t have photos to illustrate everything you might want to say.
